Summary

Description
English: The Caldey Stone, Caldey Island The stone has two inscriptions. The first, incomplete, is in Ogham characters, ie notches cut into the edge of the stone. It is from the 6C, and has been translated as ”MAGI DUBR...”. The second is in Latin, of the 6C or 7C, and there are two different interpretations of the inscription, but both end: “I ask all who walk in this place to pray for the soul of Cadwgan” (Catuoconus in Latin). – Exact description of the Caldey Stone.
