Yesterday morning I thought I'd give the Square-Tailed Kites near my morning walk a bit of a wide berth - I don't want to wear out my welcome - and looked back from a distance to the tree in which they often perch to warm up before the morning's hunt. The two parents were sitting so close together that I just had to get a photograph. I told them that if they are going to pose together they have to expect the paparazzi, and they seemed OK. Even so they had put themselves in a very narrow window in the dead mistletoe and branches, so this was the best view I could get. I thanked them and let them get on with their day.
