Afrikaans: Witoorhoutkapper in St. Lucia, KwaZulu-Natal, wat vrugte van 'n Natalvy vreet. Hulle is standvoëls in Suid-Afrika, waar hulle tot die bebosde kusstrook van noord-KwaZulu-Natal, so vêr suid as Durban, beperk is. Hulle is lokaal algemeen en vorm soms klein swerms, en kan gemeenskaplik in nesholtes oornag. Vrugte en insekte vorm hul dieet.
English: White-eared barbet in St. Lucia, KwaZulu-Natal, feeding on fruit of the Natal fig. The barbet is resident in South Africa, where they are limited to the coastal forest belt of northern KwaZulu-Natal, as far south as Durban. They are locally common and to be found in small flocks, and may roost communally in nest holes. Fruit and insects constitute their diet.
