Summary

Description
English: Map showing the combined range of the Ciconiiformes, Threskiornithidae, Ardeidae, likely Scopidae and Balaenicipitidae, and possibly even Cathartidae and Phoenicopteridae, based on outdated taxonomic concepts (Ciconiiformes sensu lato). Besides being outdated, this map is also somewhat inaccurate; in particular, the British Isles and most of Scandinavia should be shaded (due to the presence of Ardeidae, the intended inclusion of which in the map is evident by many shaded regions where, of the previously-mentioned families, only Ardeidae occurs).
